The Yoga For Back Care is a class designed for those with back challenges, including scoliosis. Many students take this class to prevent future problem that might arise from general stiffness, a lifestyle that is too sedentary, or a lack of flexibility.
Classical yoga poses can help you restore and maintain a healthy back, relieve muscle tension, nerve pain, and reduce mental stress often associated with back problems. Yoga offers a well- rounded approach to improving core strength and flexibility and breath awareness. Students will also learn how to modify the poses to meet their individual needs.
Serious back injuries and disc issues may require a doctors note. Any injuries, doctors orders, or surgeries need to be discussed with OSY prior to starting the program. A health history form/waiver will need to be completed.
